Webinar Q&A

Q: Are the scripts for Custom Reports in GitHub the same as those available in Viedoc eLearning? Or will there be more scripts available in GitHub?

A: The scripts available in Viedoc eLearning serve as foundational learning materials, whereas GitHub may host a broader range of scripts, including community contributions and updates. While we have previously shared custom reports code in eLearning, our plan moving forward is to share these exclusively via GitHub. The existing custom reports in eLearning will be moved to GitHub, and any new ones will only be added there. Over time, this will allow GitHub to become the central source for an expanding collection of scripts, offering more variety and advanced use cases.

Q: Is there any way to ask for requests? For example, “I am looking for a function to calculate monthly withdrawal rate per site; does anyone has programmed something for that” and then an user would post a code which potentially could help me in that task.

A: Yes! GitHub supports user interaction through issues and discussions. You can submit requests for specific functionalities or ask questions related to code in a particular repository, and other users or contributors may provide relevant scripts or guidance. However, this is exclusively for issues and questions related to the code shared in that repository. Any other product-related requests or study-specific queries should be directed to the appropriate support channels.

Q: How can I get notification when new scripts are added?

A: To stay updated on new scripts, you can watch or star the GitHub repository. By enabling notifications for the repository, you will receive alerts whenever new scripts are added or existing ones are updated.
