Viedoc Pricing Policy
Viedoc's vision is “Everyone wants to, and can, use Viedoc” and this briefly describes how we have implemented that in a pricing perspective. Our idea is that our pricing shall be fair and clear.
Fit for study
The goal with the Viedoc license fee is that it should be fit for all study budgets.
Calculating license fee
Our formula for estimating size and complexity of a study, and consequently calculating the license fee, is mainly based upon the following five parameters:
- Number of subjects
- Number of sites
- Duration of the study
- Number of visits
- Number of unique forms
We also take into consideration phase, type of sponsor, and region. The pricing is a continuous non-linear model with two principles:
(a) The total license fee is correlated to size and complexity.
(b) Increased size and complexity results in a higher total cost but lower cost per parameter.
Viedoc also has add-on features (such as ePRO, Medical Coding, Randomization, Logistics, File upload and Lab import). For studies that do not need extra functionality, these features will not be paid for. Conversely, if a study requires extra features, these can be added for an additional fee.
Hence, we do not have a fixed price list. All studies will have a unique price depending on the parameters stated above.
No hidden costs
The license fee includes more than just access and usage of Viedoc. Costs such as maintenance, backups, hosting, versioning, adding/changing unlimited number of study users, and technical support are included. No set-up fees will be invoiced if you build the study.
Termination
If a customer terminates the study license by locking the database prior to the pre-defined duration, no extra fee will be charged upon termination and all future invoicing will cease.
Volume rebate
For customers who are willing to commit to several studies per year, we offer volume rebates in customized enterprise agreements.
